It’s great to finally get this company started: we are Wild Games, an independent game studio founded in 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Our founding team of six developers have over 70 years of combined game development experience, and our mission is to build excellent games that are accessible to anyone.
Having built large and complex games for all platforms, we started to miss the accessibility of old games. We believe that by combining this accessibility with depth and high visual and technical quality, we can make games that bring something new to mobile gamers.
To do that, our ambition goes beyond making a game – we want to build a game studio worthy of the 2020s. In other words, a studio where decisions are made by the team working on the game and where superiors are there for inspiration and advice, not to make decisions for you. For us this is as much about building our dream workplace as it is about building our dream games. When we decided to start Wild Games, Supercell was one of our role models both in terms of the games they built, but also how they run their company with the underlying values.
Because of that we are proud and humbled to announce that Supercell has invested in Wild Games. Supercell has built some of the best mobile games ever and continue to deliver new amazing game experiences. As much as we love playing the games they’ve built, we’re even more impressed with how they build their games and run their company.
We realize we have much to learn, but that’s also what makes this journey so exciting. We look forward to sharing more with you as we embark on this journey into the Wild!
“Supercell is thrilled to be supporting Wild Games, a team of industry veterans in the truest sense of the word. We invest in game studios with exceptional capability and ambition, those that show real potential for making standout games. The team at Wild Games ticks all the right boxes, and they are ideally located for drawing on the vast pool of talent in the Swedish game development scene. We can’t wait to see how they will put their years’ of experience in cutting edge PC and console game development to use on the mobile platform!”
